Are you organising a public reading or a literary exhibition?

Then you need permission from the author(s). If the author of the work you want to use is a member of Sabam, you can arrange your licence via Unisono. In exchange, we will ensure that the royalties you pay are correctly distributed to the author(s).

Are you using a quote from a text in a book or online? This is called a literary reproduction. This requires the direct approval of the author or publisher. Sabam does not intervene in this. Don't forget to always mention the name of the author you’re quoting!

And does it feature texts, book excerpts, poetry, documentaries, or sketches? Sabam, under the Unisono brand, offers you a licence for the authors’ rights, so you can use these literary works.
